What material are BFM® fittings?
BFM® manufactures connectors in a variety of media to suit a wide range of applications. BFM® connectors are available in non-permeable and breathable materials.
Non-permeable connectors are available in Seeflex media for applications with movement, or PTFE laminate for high temperature applications that can be used across the full pH scale.
Breathable connectors are available in woven polyester, polypropylene, or PTFE, suitable for higher temperatures, lower temperatures, or chemical applications respectively.
What is BFM® material?
BFM® fitting's most popular and versatile material is the non-permeable Seeflex range of connectors that are made from clear, ether based polyurethane. This material has no memory and will not fracture with flexing. This means they are able to withstand movement such as compression, oscillation, and vibration.

Overpressure situations for continuous pressure up to 1.7 bar
The internally bonded scrim restricts the Seeflex sleeve from stretching and provides superior pressure resistance.
|Kevlar is typically used in over pressure and potentially explosive applications. The BFM WM12K (Kevlar) Cover is designed to fit over existing connectors and can be tightened onto the BFM Spigot using the butterfly mechanism at the top and the base of the connector. It is very easy to install and remove, no tools required.|
